“Crowned in Purpose: Dr. Yvette W. Etheridge Makes History as Ms. Corporate America Georgia”

By ATL Black Voices Editorial Team

On May 2, 2025, history unfolded on the steps of the Georgia State Capitol — not with legislation or protest, but with grace, vision, and the crowning of a queen. In a space typically reserved for political proceedings, a new kind of leadership was honored: the power, poise, and presence of Black women in corporate America.

In this unprecedented moment of elegance, purpose, and power, Dr. Yvette W. Etheridge was crowned the first-ever Ms. Corporate America Georgia under the new leadership of  the visionary Dr. Jacqueline Mohair, State President and Franchise Owner, who also serves as the Founder and Chancellor of Trinity International University of Ambassadors — an esteemed online biblical university committed to equipping leaders through faith-based education.— setting a legacy in motion that transcends the traditional pageant experience.

A Vision Crowned in Excellence

This groundbreaking event marked Georgia as the first state to launch under the Ms. Corporate America (MCA) national franchise model, with plans to expand across all 50 states. Now in its 17th year, the MCA organization continues to amplify women’s voices in business, leadership, and service — blending beauty with brilliance and crowns with causes.

At the helm of this transformation is Dr. Jacqueline Mohair, whose leadership as Franchise Holder and State President has set the tone for excellence, innovation, and empowerment.

“This isn’t just a competition. This is a pipeline for women in leadership,” said Dr. Mohair. “We are not only crowning queens — we are cultivating legacy.”

A Queen Crowned with Legacy

At the center of this defining moment stood Dr. Yvette W. Etheridge, a trailblazing healthcare executive with over 40 years of leadership experience. Known for her resilience, humility, and unwavering service, Dr. Etheridge is more than a titleholder — she is a mentor, a voice of wisdom, and now, a statewide symbol of purposeful leadership.

“This crown represents more than recognition,” she shared. “It represents the responsibility to uplift, to advocate, and to open doors for the women coming next.”

Her crowning was made even more meaningful as it was performed by Dr. Janice Crenshaw, the first Honorary Queen of Ms. Corporate America Georgia. This newly created title was introduced to celebrate women between the ages of 66–75 who have retired from traditional corporate careers or built enterprises of their own. Dr. Crenshaw embodies the grace and wisdom of that generation, and her presence connected past and present in a deeply symbolic way.

“Being crowned by Dr. Crenshaw was more than ceremonial — it was sacred,” said Dr. Etheridge.

Rising Royalty: The Women of the Moment

Joining Dr. Etheridge on stage were two powerful finalists whose presence elevated the competition with elegance and professionalism:

  • Ms. DeKalb County, Jazzmon Reed, crowned 1st Runner-Up, captivated with bold presence, executive polish, and a compelling message of excellence.
  • Ms. Newton County, Danika Pannia, represented her community with grace, strength, and substance, reinforcing the sisterhood that defines this movement.

Honored Guests & Voices of Influence

The event also welcomed an esteemed group of attendees, reflecting the power of aligned leadership:

  • The Ms. Corporate America Ambassadors, who serve as regional voices for MCA’s mission, stood in unity with the 2025 queens.
  • Former Georgia State Representative Dr. Dee Dawkins-Haigler, a tireless advocate for equity and women’s empowerment, brought distinction and support to the event.
  • Dr. Maria Boynton, respected journalist and community commentator, served as the Queen Commentator, offering elegant narration that reflected the dignity of the moment.

Applauded by the Legislature

The pageant’s presence on the Capitol steps was affirmed by the attendance of Georgia lawmakersRep. Dewey McClain, Rep. Doreen Carter, and Senator Donzella James — who honored the event and commended its mission to empower women in leadership. Their support signified that Ms. Corporate America Georgia is not just a competition — it’s a call to civic influence and public leadership.

A Reign Rooted in Real Impact

As Ms. Corporate America Georgia 2025, Dr. Etheridge will contribute to a slate of transformational programs developed by the MCA Georgia team, including:

  • Voices in the Boardroom – A leadership program cultivating executive communication and board readiness
  • Global Diaspora Leadership Exchange – Connecting Georgia-based leaders with women professionals across Africa for transcontinental empowerment

“These aren’t just programs — they are platforms to shift lives,” said Dr. Etheridge. “And I’m honored to lend my voice and vision to that mission.”

A Message for the Modern Queen

“To every woman watching this moment — don’t wait for permission. Walk in your power. Claim your seat. Build your legacy,” Dr. Etheridge urged. “Your crown was never lost. It’s been waiting for you to rise.”

Save the Date: She Reign Summit 2026

The legacy continues. From March 26–29, 2026, the Royal 100 will host the next Ms. Corporate America Georgia Competition during the highly anticipated She Reign Summit at the breathtaking Château Élan. This grand experience will unite elegance, empowerment, and enterprise — a gathering where queens are not only crowned, but cultivated.

A Legacy in Motion

What happened on the steps of the Capitol wasn’t just historic — it was prophetic.

From Dr. Yvette W. Etheridge’s crowning, to Dr. Janice Crenshaw’s generational grace, to the rise of women like Jazzmon Reed and Danika Pannia, and the leadership of Dr. Jacqueline Mohair, this event ushered in a new era of leadership where Black women are not waiting to be chosen — they are choosing themselves.

This wasn’t a moment.
This wasn’t a movement.
This was a mandate.
