Record early voting in Georgia ahead of November election

The early voting period ends on Friday and with a 45% statewide turnout as of Wednesday morning, there has been a record number of votes cast in Georgia, a crucial battleground state for United States Vice President Kamala Harris and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz; and former United States President Donald Trump and his running mate Ohio Senator J.D. Vance.

Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has scheduled a press conference on the South Steps of the Georgia Capitol this morning to further explain what has been a record-breaking election season.
As to be expected, the majority of the votes come from metro Atanta where the majority of the state’s voters reside, but there has also been record-breaking turnouts in smaller and mid-sized counties up and down the state.
